Call for Poster Session Proposals: Open Educational Resources Symposium 2018

By | March 2, 2018

Do you use Open Educational Resources or Open Pedagogy in your teaching practice? Have you authored an OER or remixed one with your students? Do you have experience persuading your department or textbook committee to use OERs at your school?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, consider submitting a proposal for a poster or exhibit session at the Open Educational Resources Symposium 2018. HECC, in collaboration with Open Oregon Educational Resources, Lane Community College, and Portland State University, will host a one-day, statewide symposium on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lane Community College. The goals of that day include showcasing current work that will help symposium attendees move their own practice forward.

We are seeking poster or exhibit proposals that offer examples of how you’ve creatively implemented OER in your classroom, department, and/or institution. This session will offer an informal and social opportunity to share your work and demonstrate to others how they can apply your ideas in their courses. Posters and exhibits may use any format or medium but all materials must be provided by the presenter (including a laptop if needed).

Proposals are due April 2. Submit a proposal: https://goo.gl/forms/ohR5lbVaJBOOZg462
