Agenda: Results-Driven OER Programs: One-Day Intensive

Where is your OER program now? Where do you want it to be?

Open Oregon Educational Resources is hosting Nicole Finkbeiner of Rice University’s OpenStax for a one-day intensive that will help you strategically plan for increased use of OER on your campus. Nicole will draw on her experiences working with over 200 colleges and universities across the U.S. through the OpenStax Institutional Partner Program, which has a track record of increasing OER adoptions at participating institutions an average of 150% in one year. Nicole will walk us through the critical elements of a successful OER initiative in an interactive format. Take home a customized plan to greatly increase OER at your institution while protecting academic freedom.

2 seats are reserved for OER leaders from each public community college and university in Oregon to attend this workshop. Open Oregon Educational Resources can cover mileage reimbursement and accommodation for participants. Part-timers are eligible for stipends for attendance and supplemental childcare.

Registration is free and includes breakfast and lunch. Join us after the workshop at 5:00 for an informal, no-host dinner at McMenamins Market Street Pub.

Librarians, consider attending the OER Pre-Conference at ACRL Oregon & Washington Joint Fall Conference 2018 on October 25!
