Archived webinar: Running an OER program on a Shoestring Budget

By | March 10, 2021

How can we keep our OER initiatives moving forward in a time of tight budgets and financial constraints? This webinar explores concrete actions we can take, regardless of funding level, to raise faculty awareness of OER, support faculty in their exploration of open resources and pedagogy, and build a larger coalition of support for institutional OER efforts while maintaining our individual bandwidth and motivation. Join us for a lively discussion about advocacy, encouragement, and sustaining this important work for student success.

Emily Ragan is an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry as well as OER Coordinator at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she leads the institutional OER initiative as well as faculty trainings and learning communities centered on OER.

Christina Trunnell is the OER coordinator for the state of Montana, serving the public, private and tribal colleges of the state through education, instructional and pedagogical design, outreach, and support of each institution’s unique OER efforts.
