CPI for College Textbooks vs AAOT Course Materials Costs

This image is a bar graph showing the difference in % change between the Consumer Price index measurement of college textbook prices, and the change measured in the cost of course materials for transfer degrees in Oregon's colleges. The CPI measurement increased about 8% between 2015-17 while the cost of materials for the AAOT decreased by about 15%. The CPI decreased about 1% between 2017-19, while the cost of Oregon's materials decreased by about 18%.
