90-minute Keynote Webinar: Copyright Confidence From Basics to AI

By | January 21, 2025

Navigating copyright is essential for anyone working with Open Educational Resources, but the world of copyright sometimes feels daunting or confusing. Join us for a 90-minute webinar led by members of the Copyright First Responders Pacific Northwest designed to help demystify copyright basics and fair use principles. We’ll also spend time thinking about how to build confidence with copyright and look at “hot topics” including the issue on everyone’s mind lately: AI and copyright. Through practical scenario-based discussions, you’ll gain confidence in navigating copyright considerations for OER and other educational materials.

This session offers a supportive environment for faculty, librarians, and instructional designers to build their copyright confidence. Using a mixture of presentations and scenario-based discussions, we will walk through real-world scenarios and dedicate significant time to addressing your specific questions about copyright in OER creation and adaptation.

This webinar takes place from 11:30-1:00 pm Pacific time, March 7, 2025.
The session will be recorded and captioned to share later.
We will enable automatic captions in the session. Please let us know about additional accommodations you need to participate in this webinar.
