Call for OER Mini-Grant Proposals

By | April 25, 2025

Do you have an idea that needs a little bit of funding to get over the finish line?

Open Oregon Educational Resources is offering mini-grants of $300 for very small open education projects that will take approximately 6 hours of work to complete before June 30, 2025. Apply by May 9: https://forms.gle/ZoRKansQ16J9ToGG7.

Examples of very small open education projects include:

  • Add an open license to your work so that it can be shared widely with clear permissions for reuse
  • Revise attribution statements in an open educational resource you created
  • Redesign one assignment or unit in your course
  • Improve infrastructure that relates to OER use (e.g. minor software or platform updates)
  • Research existing OER to get ready to write an OER grant proposal

Applications are welcome from employees of Oregon’s public community colleges and universities, including faculty, librarians, support professionals, administrators, students, and bookstore staff.

Recipients of mini-grants must show that they completed their project by June 30, 2025, either by sharing an openly licensed deliverable, or by submitting a one-paragraph writeup that will be included in a blog post.
