Open Oregon Educational Resources seeks student design submissions for our first-ever badges, to be awarded to institutions that meet statewide criteria for textbook affordability efforts. Submissions must be received by February 15, 2021. The winner of this design competition will:
- Have their work featured at an Open Education Week event on March 3, 2021;
- See their badge design displayed on websites of participating, eligible Oregon community colleges and universities;
- Receive a $250 gift certificate to their campus bookstore.
The winning entry will include celebratory designs for badges recognizing three institutional achievements:
- Students can find courses that use no-cost and low-cost course materials using the course schedule designation
- The institution wrote a strategic textbook affordability plan that is being implemented
- Over 75% of faculty report their course materials adoptions to the bookstore in time for cost information to be available to students when registration opens
