Get an update on Oregon’s textbook affordability policies as of March 3, 2021. We talk about implementation and evaluation of the no-cost/low-cost schedule designation required by HB 2871 (2015); progress towards creating the textbook affordability plans required by HB 2213 (2019); and advocacy for HB 2919, the a bill that will set targets for on-time textbook adoption reporting.
We also meet Kailyn Mcquisten, Linn-Benton Community College student and the winner of the student badge design competition. Badges will be awarded to institutions that meet statewide criteria for textbook affordability efforts.
