Quill West, Open Education Project Manager, Pierce College, February 26, 2015
Quill West is the Open Education Project Manager at Pierce College. Her work at Tacoma Community College helped students save over $1 million in 24 months. She is a nationally recognized expert and advocate for OER, bringing faculty, librarians, and others together to create sustainable change.
Christie Fierro is the Instructional Designer & Open Educational Resources Coordinator
and a Communications Instructor at Tacoma Community College. OER is deeply integrated into her communications and public speaking courses, including having students involved in selecting content and creating learning assessments. Her award-winning teaching is notable for fully engaging her students.
