Faculty who are looking for ways to save students money through lowering textbook costs may be wondering about the differences between OER and low-cost options like FlatWorld textbooks. This session will compare OER and FlatWorld texts and make the case for why OER is often the better option based on cost, quality, and adaptability. We will also share our experiences at Portland State University working in collaboration with faculty and FlatWorld reps to create a culture of choice around textbook selection.
