Newly founded in 2025 and firmly rooted in the decades-strong open education community, the Open Education Association is a national organization dedicated to strengthening and expanding the open education field across the United States. They bring together practitioners, creators, leaders and advocates who believe that sharing knowledge freely benefits everyone. Through programs, resources, and member-driven initiatives, they support the growth of open practices and the people who advance them.

- This opportunity is open to instructors, staff, and students at Oregon’s public community colleges and universities.
- After the signup deadline, you’ll receive instructions on how to claim your sponsored membership.
- If we have more signups than available funding, priority will be given to:
- Applicants without alternative professional development funds
- Representation from all 24 colleges/universities
- Balance of roles from an institution (e.g. instructors, students, librarians, administrators, etc.)
