Sustainable Open Education Initiatives

By | February 20, 2019

This webinar will share strategy ideas for sustaining open education initiatives – whether you are creating a single resource or a statewide program. In a 2007 paper, David Wiley wrote that “Sustainability will be defined as an open educational resource project’s ongoing ability to meet its goals.” While goals may vary, and sustainability looks different among institutions and over time, it’s important to consider the long term. Join Nicole Finkbeiner, Director, Institutional Relations, OpenStax; Michael Daly, OER Campus Strategist, SUNY OER Services; and Michaela Willi Hooper, OER/Textbook Affordability Librarian, Linn-Benton Community College, as they discuss what sustainable OER involves for individuals and at scale.

This webinar takes place from 8-9am Pacific time, February 25, 2019. The session will be recorded and captioned to share later.
