As Blue Mountain Community College’s Business Administration Department has been moving to low- or no-cost degree programs, they created Open Educational Resources (OER) for many courses. For several years now, BMCC has shared the dual-credit courses with high school partners. This collaboration allows the high schools to save money and provide engaging content for their students. Two of the shared courses, HTM 100 and HTM 131, were redesigned through the 2019-21 Open Oregon Educational Resources grant cohort.
Dr. Velda Arnaud recently presented on the OER content and how it is being used in the high schools at the Oregon Association for Career & Technical Education Conference.
