Open Oregon Educational Resources, Oregon’s statewide open education program, is the recipient of $1.2 million from the federal Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund. This funding will increase affordable options for Oregon’s public university and community college students.
The new funds will enable Open Oregon Educational Resources to expand with four new initiatives:
- Hiring a statewide Open Education Instructional Designer
- Translating OER into languages other than English
- Continuing our Equity & Open Education Faculty Cohort Model and designing a related professional development course for non-faculty roles
- Developing openly-licensed, subject-specific pathway materials with an equity lens
