We will kick off Open Ed Week with cake and coffee in all PCC campus libraries! PCC’s strong embrace of open education and OER is thanks to the dedication and work of our faculty and we invite you to celebrate their contributions with a slice of cake and hot beverage. Gluten-free and vegan options available. All students, faculty, staff, and community are invited!

1-2:30 90-Minute Webinar: Water is Still Life – Visualizing Native and Indigenous Resistance to Generative AI, hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources
Join Marco Seiferle-Valencia, Open Education Librarian, University of Idaho, for a talk on the AI environmental challenges presented by the mass adoption of generative AI. A brief breathing practice with Marianne Tanner, Part-time Faculty Librarian, Portland Community College, will help us envision our own roles as information and truth protectors.
