Meet Our Open Education Instructional Designer

Veronica's headshotOpen Oregon Educational Resources is excited to introduce our new statewide Open Education Instructional Designer, Veronica Vold (she/her)! Building on a decade of experience in higher education as a teacher, advisor, and designer, Veronica is ready to help Open Oregon Educational Resources advocate for OER by meeting the design needs of instructors and their students. She is also eager to offer professional development on the topics that matter most to the Open Oregon Educational Resources community, including inclusion and belonging, accessibility, and student engagement.

Veronica holds a PhD in English literature and brings a passion for inclusive course design, accessibility, and universal design for learning (UDL) to consultations. Her approach is highly collaborative and centers on building meaningful relationships with instructors and teaching teams. Veronica most recently served as an instructional designer with UO Online at the University of Oregon, where she helped design large enrollment online courses that prioritized meaningful student engagement.

Veronica’s position is funded by the federal Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund.
