EXTENDED: OER Adoption Grants for Spring Quarter – Funding Deadline

By | December 19, 2016

Funding is available for OER adoptions that will be implemented in Spring 2017. Applications are encouraged that adopt OER created through Open Oregon grants and/or that make a department-wide commitment to OER.

Adoption defined: Redesign your course to incorporate an existing open textbook or open course content without significant revision. The grants are designed to support adoption-related work but not for extensively redesigning the textbook or open course content.

Funding details: $500 per person, per course. Examples: 1 person, 3-course sequence = $1500. 10 people, 1 course = $5000.

Timeline: You must teach your course, using the open content adopted through the grant, Spring 2017. Talk to your bookstore manager to make sure that changing your materials is still possible.

Completed application forms are due by Monday, February 27, 2017. Applicants will be notified by Monday, March 6, 2017. Projects must be invoiced by June 1, 2017.
