Call for Poster Proposals: OER Symposium

By | January 23, 2019

Do you use Open Educational Resources or Open Pedagogy in your teaching practice? Have you authored an OER or remixed one with your students? Do you have experience persuading your department or textbook committee to use OERs at your school?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, consider submitting a proposal for a poster or exhibit session at the OER Symposium. The one-day, statewide symposium on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Lane Community College will showcase Oregon’s efforts to lower textbook costs while promoting open education.

We are seeking poster or exhibit proposals that offer examples of how you’ve creatively implemented OER in your classroom, department, and/or institution. This session will offer an informal and social opportunity to share your work and demonstrate to others how they can apply your ideas in their courses. Posters and exhibits may use any format or medium but all materials must be provided by the presenter (including a laptop if needed).

Proposals are due March 8. Please create a PDXScholar account to submit your proposal: https://pdxscholar.library.pdx.edu/oer_symposium/
